The other day I was doing some shopping. A man, who was untidy, walked towards a group of us at the checkout（收銀臺(tái)）. I heard him talk to the man in front of me, “I don’t want to steal （偷）from this store… would you ______ me some food?”

The man pretended（假裝）not to hear him. I waited ______ for my turn to be questioned. but it never came. ______ I asked him, “Can I buy you something to eat?”

He ______ accepted. The man got a bag and began putting samosas （炸三角） in the bag. He stopped and I asked him how many he had got and he replied 10.
