Welcome to the Gale Hills Town Hall for tonight’s special community meeting. My name is Sarah Wattle. Tonight we will discuss wind power. This is very important to our town- a company wants to build wind turbines in Gale hills.I know that some of you want these wind turbines to be built, and some of you don’t. So I thought it would be best if we heard from the experts(專家)， Dave and Eva. After their talk, we should have a better understanding about wind power and can decide what we want for Gale Hills.

Now, please welcome Dave to the stage!

Thank you, Sarah. It’s great to be here. I love Gale Hills. One reason I love this town so much is because it’s perfect for wind power. And I hope that you will build wind turbines here. Second, wind power, created by wind turbines, is a clean form of energy. Third, the people of Gale Hills will benefit(受益) from having wind turbines. And the last is wind turbines will bring tourists to the town. So, I say to you, please agree to have wind turbines in Gale Hills. You will all benefit!

Thank you, Dave. Now, Eva will give us a different idea.

Thank you, Sarah Wattle. I don’t want wind turbines to be built in Gale Hills. First, wind turbines are noisy. The windier it is, the noisier they are. Second, birds might fly into wind turbines and they will lose their lives. I think most of us don’t want to put these birds in danger. So I say to you all tonight, please don’t let them build wind turbines in Gale Hills.
