It was one of the hottest days of the dry season．We had not seen   1   for almost a month．The crops were dying．If it didn’t rain soon，we would lose everything．

At noon，when I was   2   making lunch，I saw my five-year-old son，Billy，  3   towards the woods．Minutes later，he ran back and then   4   walked towards the woods．This action--walking carefully to the woods and running back to the house，went on for nearly an hour．
