Stonehenge, a rock circle, is not only one of Britain most famous historical places but also one of its great mysteries. People like to go to this place especially in June as they want to see the sun rising in the longest day of the year.

On midsummer’s morning, the sun shines direct into the center of the stones. As you walk there, you can feel the energy from your feet moved up your body. Most people think the position of the stones must be a special purpose. Some think it might be a burial place or a place to honor ancestor. Others think it was built to celebrate a victory to an enemy.

Historians think Stonehenge was built about 5000 years ago; but, they are not sure. Perhaps people might never know who built Stonehenge, but it must have been hard-working and great planners!
