18._________ your help,we could not have finished such hard work in time.( 。
A.In spite ofB.But forC.Thanks toD.As for

分析 句意:要不是因?yàn)槟愕膸椭,我們過(guò)去不可能及時(shí)完成如此重的任務(wù).

解答 答案B.
A項(xiàng)"不管,不顧";C項(xiàng)"多虧了,由于";D項(xiàng)"關(guān)于";B項(xiàng)"要不是因?yàn),如果因(yàn)?;由"we could not have finished such hard work in time"可知,與過(guò)去事實(shí)相反,是虛擬語(yǔ)氣.主句謂語(yǔ)用"would/could/should/might+動(dòng)詞;從句用"had+done"."but for"可引導(dǎo)的含蓄虛擬語(yǔ)氣,"But for your help"可轉(zhuǎn)換成"If it hadn't been for your help".因此B項(xiàng)符合語(yǔ)境,故選B.

點(diǎn)評(píng) 此題考查含蓄虛擬條件句.含蓄虛擬條件句中的假設(shè)條件不是以條件從句的形式來(lái)表達(dá)的,而是隱藏在上下文中或由with、without、otherwise、or、but for等詞來(lái)暗示,相當(dāng)于if引導(dǎo)的虛擬條件句.所以解題時(shí)要注意上下文的語(yǔ)境和這些關(guān)鍵詞的提示.
